Greengage plums (Prunus domestica subsp. italica)

These ‘plums’, are green and soft and velvety to touch, they are slightly larger than ‘maribels’ and great, like most plums, for cooking, to pickle, make jam or compot, and are considered to be amongst the finest dessert plums (!)
